I wonder if this kind of thing goes in cycles? I was in high school, c2007-2011, when Facebook was new, and I always felt bad that all of my pictures were selfies, because it seemed to scream, "you have no friends." I can't imagine how stressful it would be to be that age today, worrying about being "camera ready" for social media all the time. Maybe people will come to enjoy seeing photos of themselves again if we all get back into polaroids and digital cameras that don't magnify every single pore in 4K, haha.
